Shit Photojournalists Like was born in the middle of rural Missouri on a cold, blustery January day. Fueled by stereotypes, coffee, and the innate rage of having the last name of ‘Glascock’, the normally mild-mannered Taylor unleashed the monster of snark that is SPL upon the interwebs.
She graduated in 2011 from the University of Missouri with a degree in Photojournalism and and a minor in Film Studies, two programs that her parents deemed to be “moderately useful.” She is a film snob to the nth degree, which drives Clint Alwahab insane. She has somehow managed to cultivate a love for all things horror and all things kitten. She would prefer that the two do not intermingle.
Taylor has worked on the set of several horror films, and when she is not surrounded by corn syrup blood, she’s a freelance photographer in Chicago.
Clint Alwahab: www.clintalwahab.com
Clint was raised by a pack of wolves between the ages of 7 and 10. The years before and after his time with the pack were spent in Nashville, Tennessee and at the University of Missouri gaining his Bachelor of Journalism, with an emphasis in photojournalism (much to the dismay of the wolf pack).
In his down time, Clint enjoys watching films with redeeming values, happy endings and wolves; frequenting museums that don’t feature art made by children; and expanding his music database in order to assert his dominance as the superior music expert when having light conversations with friends/at wolf pack family reunions.
If he could describe himself in one word it would be: bacon. Clint a freelance photojournalist and freelance photo editor with CNN.com, based in Atlanta.
Eve Edelheit: www.eveedelheit.com
Eve hails from the land of snow and 10,000 lakes; Minnesota. She started shooting because it was the first time her ADD worked to her advantage and she didn’t get in trouble for noticing new things.
She recently graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Photojournalism and a minor in Political Science. While it is unofficial, she also has a degree in fending off Jewish guilt from her grandmother. She enjoys spilling on her shirt whenever humanly possible and avoiding Taylor Glascock’s cat. (She’s allergic).
Right now, Eve is an intern at The Tampa Bay Times in St. Petersburg, Florida. She’s looking forward to the humidity, beaches and non-kosher seafood items she’ll be eating.
